i haven't actually talked a ton publicly about the funny little robots i fly and kinda wanted to show off my fav pics and talk bout them a bit. I won't get super in depth but just kinda touch on what and why i likey

The Familiar

isabelle's 5" freestyle quad dusted in snow on a crate

huh it really did ship of theseus a quad

frame: tbs source one v5

battery 1300mAh 4s lipo (~3-8 minutes)

weight: ~ 800g

so technically this is both the newest and oldest quad i have. it's gone through 3 different frames with most of the other internal components changing except for the flight controller which is the same as the day i got it. it's kinda grown as i've grown with my tastes in the hobby and my move from more cinematic style quads to much more agile freestyle quads. this thing is beefy as hell and flies so fast and smooth and i just love it so much

izzito

the izzito tiny lil guy quad

it's just a lil guy

frame: rotor riot bubito

battery 300mAh 1s lipo (1-3 minutes lol)

weight: ~ 20g (lol)

it's a tiny little freestyle quad, it's literally just a tiny little guy that do tricks and i love that so much. range is awful the battery life is ass but omg its fun to fly

The Hex

isabelle's hexacopter on a park bench

it's a hex, it sounds weird, it's a hex, it has a really nice flight time, it's a hex, it feels incredibly smooth even in high winds, it's a hex, and finally, it's a hex.

frame: flywoo hexplorer

battery 1300mAh 4s lipo (~15-20 minutes)

weight: ~ 600g

so this one has been the biggest pain in the ass to get working and keep working but has been really worth it, as it's probably my favorite feeling to fly for just like cruising around and exploring. in general i think hexacopters just look incredibly cool but they also have the bonus of a huge amount efficiency from the extra motors without much extra mass or power consumption AND a lot more stability from another axis of rotation. i'm not huge on how weak the frame is though and i've had to replace a bunch of parts after even some pretty minor crashes which sucks and is part of why it's probably the least flown of my drones despite being lowkey my fav.

moothpick

isabelle's toothpick quad

it goes really fucking fast

frame: BQE pickpocket

battery 450mAh 2s lipo (5-15 minutes)

weight: ~ 150g

like holy shit nyoom
