really frustrating how people kinda just repost tabs from site to site regardless of the accuracy and with no credit to the original transcriber. i’d found the first tab which appears to be the original transcription, it’s not too far off from how it’s supposed to sound but it does lack some of the nuance like some hammer-ons and ghost notes which i was struggling a little bit to figure out by ear. i looked around for more and they’re literally all copies of the original one just on different sites, some of them like the third one shown literally took the original transcribers preface. the only one that actually directly matches the recording is a one i had to screenshot off a youtube video lol
also shoutout to tablature that includes note stems and rests so you actually get the right note duration instead of just using 8th note subdivided dashes (often times they forget measure lines too lol). normal bass/guitar tabs despite giving you the literal finger placement can be pretty difficult to sight read without having the song playing or the rythym is just not described well enough.
this tho is like such a nice blend of giving you the detailed rhythmic info you need to play and just telling you what to do with your fingers, it's the best sight reading musical notation for string instruments.
