Sleep time: ~7 am
Wake time: 11:30 am
Goal bedtime: ~9am
Oof.
I didn't make it to my target bedtime. But you know, I was only an hour short, and considering I'll get an hour for free on Sunday*, I'm not super worried. Not about that, anyway. I'm more worried that I woke up in what was, theoretically, the middle of the night, and couldn't get back to sleep. Much as I tried, but my brain was fully awake and impatient to get on with the day. I went ahead and worked the "shift" I was "supposed" to, 5pm - 1 am, on the theory that it will help me stay up through... the whole... night.
I went out and walked around in the morning-for-me sun, ran some errands and so on while businesses were open. It was nice to leave the apartment.
It's now just around 2:15 am and you know what? I could absolutely fall asleep right now. Between you and me, I'm starting to worry that I'm not going to be able to pull this off. But you know, even if next week is a total disaster at work, at least this got me out of like six meetings! (Seriously, I got so much work done this week. All my distractions were asleep.)
3:55 am: I'm a zombie but I'm still in it! Just sitting here sorting perler beads and watching Star Trek. It's not so bad. Just another six or seven episodes, then I can sleep.
4:25 am: Is it time to eat? I should probably eat something, if I'm not going to sleep for five more hours. The last thing I want is to wake up early again because I'm hungry. But also, ugh, so I settled for peanut butter toast with milk.
4:53 am: oh hell yeah, it's the one where Scotty comes back
5:13 am: wow he is wildly out of character in this episode huh
6:37 am: somehow still awake, but gosh, I would really prefer not to be. Also done with Trek. Laying out perlers and listening to an audiobook. But I promise not to iron the perlers until I've had sleep.
- first time in my entire life I've been excited to spring forward.
