Around 6 am, I decided this was a good idea.
sleep time: 7:45 am
wake time: 3 pm
goal bedtime: noon
Almost there.
I can't tell you how relieved I was to wake up and find it was 3 pm. And even more relieved to remember that it was Saturday, and I didn't have to log in to work! I gotta say, being out of sync like this on the weekend is kind of fun, it means I can do "nightlife" stuff and still be home by dinner.
I'm pretty over all this darkness though. It might surprise you to learn that nighttime is several hours of darkness in a row. Oh, and QUIET. Like, the spooky deserted kind of quiet that makes you walk quickly even if you're just going down to the second floor to use the gym.
It's just past 11 am now, though, so the darkness has been gone for awhile. I'm so happy and relieved that I'm actually going to make it to noon today; this experiment might actually be a success. (I know I lost an hour in there somewhere, but like I said, I can't be mad about it this year, it actually made tonight a lot easier.)
I thought "oh hey, it's 11 am, I'm almost to bedtime, I should write a journal entry before I sleep" but actually turns out no, no I should not, there are no functioning brain cells with which to make observations or form coherent sentences. Goodnight.
