Sleep time: 12:30 pm (Wednesday)
Wake time: 7:45 pm (Wednesday)

I think my journal entries may have become desynced from my actual days. Let me try and reconstruct. I woke up yesterday at 6 pm to my coworker telling me the company had been sold. Sat in the Europe edition of the town hall at 1 am my time, got basically no new information.

At 7 am, day 2 of the training started, and... I'm gonna be honest, I have very little memory of what was said in it. I was at the end of my day, running on only 5 hours' sleep, still reeling from this bombshell announcement, and now my ADHD ass has to sit through a SECOND day of four-hour zoom meetings? It doesn't help that the content is completely un-actionable for me in my role. And I couldn't stay up for the just-our-office debrief chat, literally my eyes would not stay open, so I missed out on the synthesis. One more day of this, starting in about half an hour in fact!...and then I get to figure out how to right this ship. Whee.

Oh, I figured out why going to sleep feels more like napping than like ending the day: it's because I'm working right up until I go to bed. I don't have time to do any kind of after work gear-shifting, just, fwomp, right to bed. So that's interesting.

Tonight I went to the arcade, in the hopes that the dance machine might actually be free at 11:45 pm on a Wednesday. Alas, just the opposite, a squad of young people were camped out doing expert doubles. But hey, at least I was able to get some lunch? I guess it was lunch. I'm having a really hard time keeping track of what I eat and when.
