Ok, last night I fell asleep at 9 pm and woke up at 3:45 am. Not ideal, but at least it gives me some time to work on kickstarter prep before work.

My two big outstanding items are (1) the trailer video and (2) the print-and-play with the real art.

I'll have the print-and-play up on itch for pay what you want as soon as I finish putting it together. This way, people can see that yes, the game is real, and done, and good actually! And if the Kickstarter fails, then the PNP will still be there, and the people who want it can still have it, even if it means they gotta cut out 495 cards. This is easy but tedious work, so I'm laying out a handful of pages at a time here and there.

The trailer, on the other hand, is giving me major heartburn. I'm not a marketer and I'm not a film-maker and I don't have the budget to hire either. It only needs to be 90 seconds. But in those 90 seconds it needs to convey the tone and gist of the game as well as establishing this as a legit project worth backing... 🫠
