been playing some melty blood type lumina with friends lately. it's a pretty cool game, i wonder why it's not so popular...?

I was literally wondering yesterday if you played it. I haven't touched it in a not minute but I really liked Kouma, and to a lesser extent Saber
i've spent the most time on Red Arcueid so far but i want to try Mario
This is highly anecdotal but at least round my parts it was one part shield being fucking absurdly meta-defining at launch and one part it barely functioned outside of the fighting people part; I took part in a small tourney series near launch and it would consistently crap out between games, sometimes during them
It's probably gotten a hell of a lot better since then and I have every faith it has, but I think it was a point of an awful first impression to the community
...and the dripless memes, can't forget that horseshit (aoko has more style than anyone who genuinely believed different)
i do remember hearing about the shield stuff at the start of the game but couldn't tell from the outside if it was actually a problem or just scrub memes... i guess first impressions really are a big deal
