heres another small ffxiv post. i think the story and character writing is really hit and miss for me personally (i think being a huge mass of writing with a bunch of different writers on staff will do that), but soken's music carries all the big emotional scenes really hard. the Moments work for me. the man is good at pulling the levers in my brain with sound and a good OST is all it really takes to keep me in something.

Despite everything, I genuinely think in terms of quantity, this expansion has a
lot of all timers from Soken. Living Memory's theme Bygone Serenity is an extremely moving song that still moves me to tears on relistens.
