Which would you say are your favorite kingdom hearts games?

here's my favorite 3, not actually in any particular order since if i had to order them it'd change depending on the day and my mood.

  1. Birth By Sleep

i really enjoyed the prequel story in this one, the slightly different playstyles that each character had, and the Command Deck system in general. D-Links were thematically neat and made it easy to level up. i was a troubled young adult when this game first came out and i projected onto Aqua really hard, so she's still one of my favorites in the series. i probably have the most specific nostalgia for this game over any other KH game.

  1. 358/2 Days

probably my favorite individual story in the whole series, i skipped over it when it was new but coming back to it as a working adult it hit really hard. it really nails the feeling of burning yourself out at a job that you don't care that much about and doesn't care about you, but enjoying time off with friends when you can. also i love the messy dramatic bitches of organization XIII. they're making yaoi over there

  1. Chain of Memories

another really solid standalone story. it explores some great themes, and the Riku side of the story gives us some fantastic characterization for him. i really love the spritework in the GBA version, too!
