due to the ridiculous and not legally enforceable nature of crediting, you can arbitrarily cut anyone out of the credits with no consequences (eg, how the metroid prime remaster refused to credit the original dev team). warner bros wants all mention of the adult swim games publisher, and the names of the entire adult swim games team, removed from the credits of any game that re-releases after WB delists them

the dev of soundodger+ said it takes literally three clicks for the steam holder to seamlessly transfer ownership of an existing game listing to the developers (who own the product) so they can find a new publisher, and WB flatly refused to do so. they're going to force the games to relaunch on steam from scratch as a new entry, which is a logistical hassle for everyone and loses all community hub material etc in the process

wow i thought adult swim only did dev, didn't realize they also acted as a publisher. this makes even less sense then what the hell. they definitely can't demand people's names be taken out of the credits of games they have no claim to??
