i thought it was still a while off i have truly lost all track of time
Delta IV is quite simply one of my favorite kinds of guy. I could go into detail about why for many reasons, but in short.
- It's a fucky huge lad that wanted to be the Falcon 9 of its day but ambition was its downfall. Also dotcom bubble fuckery, industrial espionage, and so on. Most of its downfall to be honest was y'know. McDonnell-Douglas, really.
- It sets itself on fire every time it launches because they just burn off all the ambient hydrogen (because hydrogen leaks out of everything always ever) when it lights the engines. And this is an intended design feature.
- more reasons exist but i only just woke up.
These photos are from the Parker Solar Probe and GPS-III SV02 Magellan galleries on my photo site! If you like them, I'm planning to shut the site down in May 'cause I can't afford it goin forward, so now's your chance
I also have a few from the previous Delta IV Heavy launch, NROL-68 but I hadn't put them up because they only got rough phone edits. I will do so upon request for these or any photos on my cohost, just shoot an ask!
