god ok so my phone just shat itself. like it just randomly died and refuses to turn back on. I am trying to contact apple support, but to get support I gotta log in so they know what device I have. PROBLEM: I can't log in bc of 2FA. my phone is dead. I'm not getting any texts you send me. I could just use the device's serial number, but on later models they removed the engraving in the back that has the serial number, and for phones sold in the US there's no sim card tray (which would also have the serial number). so. to re-iterate. without the packaging or being able to turn on my phone I have no way of getting the serial number. splendid. there's probably something I can do but I'm dealing with that in the morning
