"So first, chew this capsule." the doctor said, handing me a large white pill in a sealed plastic packet. I opened it and put it in my mouth. Biting down, a chalky powder burst out. It tasted like the color white mixed with what I assume must be the flavor of sand. As I chewed, it began to dissolve in my saliva and coat my whole mouth with a gritty paste texture.
"C- Ugh. Could I have something to drink?"
"Sorry, I know it tastes bad, but you have to wait a few minutes for it to set in before you can drink anything." She made a sympathetic face. She's definitely had to say that dozens of times before.
"Right."
"While we wait for that, let's go over what you have to do when you get home." She went over to the counter and grabbed the set of boxes the nurse brought in earlier. She gestured to the box labeled "feline tooth set". "So these are a set of molds for your teeth. Starting tomorrow, when you go to bed, take the first one out of the top box in here and bite down on it. Leave that one in for 7 days, then take it out. The ones after that, put them in immediately after taking out the previous one, and they stay in for 3 days each. You do have to use them in order, but they're all numbered and sorted so that shouldn't be an issue. And there's a set of instructions in the box as well."
"Sounds easy enough. What's the other box?"
She picked up the box labeled "supplement set" and held it in front of her. "This is vitamin powder. You're not going to be able to eat any solid food until your teeth set again, but you can mix this with any drinks or smoothies you like to get the nutrition you need until then."
"Eehhh"
"I know, but any chewing could damage your teeth while they're still forming."
"Right."
"Any questions so far?"
"What about brushing my teeth?"
"Oh, the microbes will take care of that for you while they work. You do have to start brushing again after they're done, though."
"Ok."
"Anything else?"
"No, I think that's it."

At home, I read over the instructions while drinking some juice mixed with the supplement powder. It didn't taste good. The next month was going to be rough, but it'll be worth it to finally have sharp fangs
