apparently part of the midterm exam will involve generating text using an LLM and then... replying to it??? In some way??

This is an environmental studies class btw
Why not have each student just leave an SUV idling for the duration of the exam? It would be exactly as instructive anyway

I have seen 'grade the LLM's output and check it for inaccuracies' as a proposed method for how to avoid students using AI to cheat

Also I think that unless they have a big data background, it's likely that they don't know about how much energy an LLM/AI consumes, I didn't until I read a few articles and realised just how much hardware it really is
