It's 5,300 words of the most normal cuddling possible.
Featuring: a catdragon! And neuroscience!
And it's a totally different kind of interactive than CYOA's or anything like that! It's about immersion, but like, literally so — projecting the written descriptions onto your own senses, much more directly and explicitly than stories usually do. It's awesome.
I'm also obsessing over the dialogue style and writing in general here. It's very real and done warmly-so. Katja still owns so much.
On a personal note, I've always loved cuddling but due to some not-so-fun traumatic stuff that went down a year or two ago, it's been much more challenging to engage with for me. Cuddles used to form an association with sexual feelings, and those are what got blipped the heck off my "this is OK" cognitive watchdog whitelist.
So I'm quite deeply pleased to read a story which is about cuddles that are enthrallingly erotic but distinctly non-sexual (unless you want them to be! the story is very multi-compatible!) — thanks to that, and the ever-present gentle emphasis on safety and willingness to continue, it's a story that is sincerely comfortable to me in a way almost nothing else I've had recent experience with quite matches. It's lovely!
Thanks for sharing your story here Katja!!
