From the dark, blinding light blares into the Dealer's empty sockets, causing him to put a hand over his head. He appears to be at the broken Heaven's bronze gates, surrounded by massive metallic spikes protruding from the ground. Addressing someone unseen, Dealer says "Well. It's been a while."
"How have you been, old pal?", Dealer says as he lights up a cigarette with a lightning from his finger. A good amount of the cigarette burns out. As the Dealer exhales the smoke, expression stretching into a smile, nobody answers. Dealer follows up: "Not feeling talkative, are you?"
"Not that you ever are." Dealer finishes as the cigarette ash falls off and down... into a large pile of ash. Our view zooms out, showing that Dealer is no longer there.
Back at the nightclub's game room, the view on the room's ceiling gradually clears up, showing a human figure, face obscured by darkness, looking down at the floor. On the floor, Dealer seems to wake up in a pool of his own blood, reddish light in his eyes. The background shows a wall of the game's room, splattered with blood at the bottom. "Welcome back.", the human figure says, presumably the Doctor/Assistant.

Brief visit

finally done with this beast after like what, a month or so between thinking of the idea and actually starting? let alone finishing

Little Chicken People?

For decades, the fantasy world-building debate has raged on: are kobolds little dog people, or little lizard people? Perhaps they're somewhere in between? What delightful animal, dear reader, lies dead-center on this spectrum, combining the fluffiness, inquisitive nature, and tireless enthusiasm of dogs with the scaly alien radiance, egg-laying, and pointy faces of lizards? Chickens. What if kobolds... were little chicken people? What, indeed!

I recognize that this proposal is radical and may be controversial, but I hope kobold enjoyers everywhere will consider it with open minds. Bless.
