batman in comics is so funny because they're like 'batman is so cool and smart and strong. he has plans to beat all the justice league. he can stop superman. he can deal with intergalactic threats all by himself' while also being like 'batman MUST have his own little justice league of stealthy martial artist detectives in the city that he lives in. don't question why there needs to be eight people doing backflips and breaking the bones of people in a single city. yeah he can deal with this all by himself but he needs a team of his own dammit'
