Paint Shop Pro v4.12 turned 26 this year, and aside from one strange bug that causes the linear gradient dialog to crash, it still works fine in Windows 10. this is one of a small handful of 9x-era programs (including Ulead GIF Animator) that get installed on every new computer i set up; i use it from time to time when i want to make some simple changes to an image and don't feel like waiting for something like paint.net to load
every time i launch this program i feel like i am committing multiple crimes. look at the weird mix of 9x, 7, and 10 UI elements! how many compatibility layers and gross hacks are busting their ass behind the scenes to make this work in 2023?
