I remember getting my hands on it when I was in college, a friend of mine let me borrow theirs.
It takes some getting used to and not every game will work well with it (I wouldn't want to imagine something like Mega Man on it).
The games that DO work well with it are surprisingly intuitive. First person shooters benefit very well with the combination of gyro and trackpad.
Using the left trackpad in trackball mode made arcade games that used such a device very fun (like Marble Madness!)
I remember 3D platformers played nicely with it, too. The build quality for what's there is quite good.
