Twitch silently removed the ability to customize the appearance of power-ups, presumably because people kept using icons like these. i guess we struck a nerve!

you might have noticed that this also means you can't remove a previously-uploaded icon, so i hope you didn't change it to something embarrassing or offensive in a fit of rebellion!

Changing icons has been disabled since around July 25th, based on comments in the UserVoice thread. It makes the inability to change the icon but lack of an actual response from Twitch ~2 months later even more infuriating. I changed the icons on my channel in a similar way, and I'm still mad but not surprised at how slimy and short-sighted Twitch has been about the whole thing.
