one of my absolute least favorite things about Discord (and many, many other modern apps and websites) is the way they have redefined "GIF" to mean "video, with no controls, which may or may not have sound." tapping the above "GIF" on my phone should not have had me scrambling to turn down the volume, because a "GIF" is an animated image format that does not have sound. this is a video. label it as a fucking video
oh yeah, and on mobile Discord, hitting the back button does not make the video stop. or mute the audio. you have to either switch channels or throw your phone out the window and into the fucking dirt where it belongs
