i can't draw a Rusty that perfectly on-model no matter how hard i try, and i still don't have the words to describe how fucking amazing that Rachel is

the Dreamcast. it was so well-designed, so ahead of its time, so cool, so promising, and such a massive turnaround from the company that brought us the 32X and the Saturn! so of course there was no way it was gonna last more than a couple years lol

i still have a whole lot of bitter feelings towards Sega and the pants-on-head executive clown show on both sides of the pond that led to their exit from the console hardware market and very nearly killed the company as a whole. the Dreamcast deserved BETTER dammit

Rusty doesn't typically Do Sports, but whenever they see a particularly well-maintained minigolf course (a true rarity!) they will whine and make puppy dog eyes at you until you pull over. if you win, they'll buy you a pizza!

Rachel enjoys a simple no-frills game of frisbee, but insists on trying to catch it in her mouth. nobody enjoys this.

Rusty: they're pretty much just a regular red panda that (more or less) wears the same clothes i do. i added the RGB tail to reflect my interest in old video game hardware, and @rocknrami gave them the floppy ear (it was originally stuffed under their hat, but i thought it would be cute to make that a permanent feature)

Rachel: red pandas rule. fennec foxes rule. so why not do the chocolate and peanut butter thing and smoosh them together?? oh jeez oh no it's not the same at all aaaaaaaa
