Dr. Kurt is a Mercurian resident of Titan Garden and a licensed professional working in the B-District's medical sector. He runs a cybernetics clinic, offering a range of general prosthetic and augmentation products to injured starfarers and people looking for a technological improvement to their vessel of flesh. Dr. Kurt believes the living body is a thing which is always in flux, ebbing and flowing with the pulse of the universe, and that adoption of cybernetics is not a reduction of one's physical self but simply a new state of being in a lifetime defined by perpetual change. He also thinks they're just pretty cool. Clients who are looking for features, enhancements and integrated electronics in their augmentations often choose Dr. Kurt and the Starlight Cybernetics Clinic.

Dr. Kurt's Mercurian Gift of Sol is the purview of organic systems. A squishy mirror to Amy Redraven's inorganic machinery gift, Dr. Kurt can innately comprehend the interconnectivity of the many organic components that make up a living creature. He is able to see at a glance where a living system is experiencing wear or damage, describing this aspect of his vision as seeing "heat" in a living body. In his Firewalker form he can influence these systems and guide them towards healthy states of being, evening out spots of intense heat to restore them to their ideal flow. While such a gift has tremendous potential for use and misuse, Dr. Kurt is very disciplined about where and how he uses the influence of his Firewalker form, as he chooses to limit the use of his talents to his cybernetics practice- while it's within his power it's not his place to forestall a natural death, as that is a critical component of life. He can and will prevent an unnatural death with his gift, but his primary intent is to use his blessing of Sol to make the integration of metal into flesh as easy and painless as possible.
The Starlight Clinic offers a wide range of products and features for the discerning cyborg to choose from. Sleek-style tech utilizes blood sugars and the body's natural electric fields to power energy-efficient technologies, enabling a cybernetic part to run a computer or other electronic gadget. Holoscreen projectors are a popular request for cybernetic arms and hands, allowing an easy way to pop a computer display up in front of a user through heavy clothing. Integrated hardlight projection modules can be chosen instead of a computer, allowing a prosthetic hand to project specialized tools to match a specific job's needs. With proper licensing a pop-out flashcaster can be installed as well, offering a starfarer an at-the-ready defense against the dangers of space travel. Many other options and configurations are available; Dr. Kurt's own cybernetic leg unit is equipped with a small gravity well and a hardlight projector, allowing him to produce a hardlight hoverboard and glide his way home after work. He loves to catch a rail and grind down a staircase every now and then, and if he takes a bad spill, well, he's a Mercurian well-equipped to pick himself back up again.
Space within a cybernetic unit is limited and different modules take up different amounts of space, so it's important for a patient to know what they want when they're planning for an enhancement- larger cybernetic components have more room for gadgetry but they tend to require more healing time and maintenance to keep in working order, so it might not be wise to go whole hog and opt-in for as many hardware module slots as possible. Sleek tech uses nerve-impulse translation software to help facilitate brain signals into mechanical movements through its motors and servos, allowing the tech a fair amount of space for modular expansion relative to the size of a chosen augmentation. Dr. Kurt will do his best to make sure a potential client understands their limitations.
One of Dr. Kurt's favorite patients is Timberwolf's own linguistics officer, Clayton. Clayton is a voluntary cybernetics recipient, coming to the Starlight Clinic with specific desires for augmentation in mind. While initially drawn by the smooth and lightweight aesthetic of the Sleek style of cybernetics, Clayton wanted to have an onboard personal computer at his disposal, something with data ports he can use to load in new software or insert data cartridges; something with software and file accessibility. He also requested a 360° rotational wrist motor so he could stir food real easy-like. Dr. Kurt took his measurements and fitted him for a below-the-elbow enhancement with a holoprojecting internal computer running Varista Plus as its operating system, with a slide-away panel to protect easy-access data ports for a variety of chip and cartridge types on the underside of his forearm. Clayton loves it, he could count the weeks of recovery time on his new right hand and since he'd started working for Timberwolf he's got a new story to tell Dr. Kurt when he comes in for checkup and maintenance. Dr. Kurt maintains the trust of a strict doctor-patient confidentiality policy; the sordid details of the part-time smuggler's adventures never leave the walls of his office. This trust earns him a number of clients among Titan's gallery of villains, but he's just happy to see they're well taken care of.
