Fflamddwyn is the owner of Fflamddwyn's Ancient Meals, a cozy little place in Titan's B-District where starfarers can have a taste of the stargazing era, of a time before we all started crisscrossing the Sol system. Fflamddwyn is a bear of a Terran, large and rough-hewn but filled with a boundless mirth and zeal for life. He greets friends with a warm embrace and a firm and resounding slap on the back, and he greets strangers with a warm smile and a bone-crushing handshake. When you come to Fflamddwyn's Ancient Meals, you're well taken care of. Yipyap gives it Six barks out of Five, it's a personal favorite of his.

A close friend to Ronaldo, his and Fflamddwyn's restaurants are sort of sister businesses- where Ronaldo likes to focus on the past's idea of the future, Fflamddwyn serves as authentic a version of meals from pre-industrial eras popular on most of Sol's inhabited worlds. He does painstaking research not just into how ancient meals were prepared, but into how they were plated and presented as well- what were the utensils like on that part of the world, did they use utensils at all? Were their meals served on metal, glass, clay, ceramics? What was the pH of the water they used to prepare meals with? Where were their ingredients sourced from? Presentation is important for selling the Ancient Meals aesthetic, because the truth is a lot of ancient foods look a lot like modern home cooking, on account of us being the descendants of our ancestors. Funny how that works out.

To get the meals just right, Fflamddwyn has set up working relationships with local farmers and fishermen throughout the Sol system, bypassing big distribution companies to purchase ingredients as directly from local sources as possible. Captaining his own starship, the Wild Boar, Fflamddwyn flies out to meet his sources in-person, greeting them in his jolly manner and learning about where his ingredients come from and how they're cultivated. When he's allowed to he loves to participate in the farmwork, in the hunt or on the fishing trip, to really experience how his foods are harvested from nature. By taking a first-hand approach he can not only put a face to his sources, but he can ensure his ingredients are sustainably sourced- maintaining a good relationship with the local environment is important to Fflamddwyn, especially in our present technological age. He pays his sources well for their goods, because he knows they will in turn work to sustain their local ecologies. This is the foundation of Fflamddwyn's Ancient Meals.

It's not too often that Fflamddwyn gets to go on his sourcing trips, as he spends a lot of time on Titan managing his business. He's not too proud to not delegate his responsibilities, as he does hire a full kitchen staff and schedules them for sensible hours, but he will get his hands dirty working the kitchen himself if his managerial obligations are fulfilled- whether someone calls out sick or he's simply scheduled a shift for himself, Fflamddwyn loves to dig in and engage in the little pieces of history his restaurant creates. While he prefers diners eat in to enjoy the full experience of having an ancient meal in the appropriate plate, bowl and utensil, you can order delivery from Fflamddwyn's Ancient Meals. A delivery person will show up at your destination with a round container made from bound strips of gryyth reed- a large Callistan cousin to bamboo- wherein your order can be found, bound up with string inside of a folded palm leaf. No utensils are provided. That is Fflamddwyn's way.

A man with a big spoon and a bigger heart, Seth is the owner of The Big Spill Kitchen, a soup-of-the-day joint on the outskirts of the A-District which is very popular among dockworkers and starfaring regulars. A kind and inviting person, Seth is the type to put the needs of others above his own- he understands the rigors of life in deep space, and if someone is hungry and they don't carry interplanetary Credits on them? Well, that's no reason to deny someone a hot meal. Seth's a kind man but he's no doormat, if he believes you've got the mettle for it he will put a challenge to you and hold you to a higher standard, giving you a push to bring out the best version of yourself. He's a man you don't meet every day.

The Big Spill Kitchen is a small restaurant designed with rustic Terran-style decor, built with stout wooden beams and solid oak tables, its lighting as warm and inviting as a candle-lit tavern. It's a pretty relaxed restaurant throughout the day, but when lunchtime hits the restaurant is always slammed with customers. The restaurant's gimmick is pretty simple: there is a perpetual soup bubbling at all hours, day and night, and every day Seth and his staff prepare one additional soup, the Soup of the Day, in a great big pot stirred with Seth's famous big spoon, carved from a large and magnificent stick he found on a remote Saturnian trail. You come into The Big Spill Kitchen and you can order the Soup of the Day or you can get the forever soup- you get the new thing or you taste the evolving standard. Both soups are served in a bread bowl to minimize space waste and the spoon you get is made from biodegradable material that is safe to throw into a ship's incinerator. There's no fuss, there's no waste, it's this soup or that; a hot meal you can eat at the restaurant or take back to your worksite that is both filling and healthy to boot!

Serving healthy and wholesome food is important to Seth, as he feels a good meal inspires great deeds. To help maintain his restaurant's standards, Seth embarks on regular trips out to other worlds- to Ganymede, to Callisto, to the hundred moons of Saturn and beyond- in order to forage for just the right ingredients for his soup cauldrons. The Big Spill Kitchen is open every day, but on weekends it's forever soup only, as Seth is off Titan hiking the untamed wilds of the Outer Belt preparing ingredients for the coming week's soups. His famous big spoon makes for an excellent walking stick, and he's fond of carrying ingredients in pouches around his belt, along with a special forcefield-integrated hardlight projection module he keeps on his hip that deploys into a large cooking pot! Place the device on a large rock in the middle of a fire, fill it with your ingredients and you can prepare a fine stew anywhere, making a nice surprise when he meets a fellow hiker out in the remote wilderness.

Often accompanying Seth on his forays into the wilds of the Sol system is fellow Terran and longtime friend, Big Henry. Big Henry's wilderness wisdom and survival instincts are a good match for Seth's wanderlust, ensuring the Big Spill cook makes it home in one piece. Big Henry has seen the Sol system stem to stern, and knows where not just where wild ingredients can be found, but on which moons isolated homesteaders run self-sustaining farms willing to sell or barter with a seasoned cook like Seth. Seth's willingness to go so far out of his way for fresh ingredients to make the best and healthiest soups he can, and his willingness to simply give that soup away to those in need, and to push those who come to know him to be the best versions of themselves they can, Big Henry sees a kind of strength in Seth's heart which he has come to respect and admire once he recognized the ways he himself has been pushed and grown in the man's company. It's a rare thing for the titanic Terran to find, but Seth has certainly earned the frontiersman's regular company.

If you're ever on Titan, come around to The Big Spill Kitchen, get yourself a bread bowl and enjoy the good vibes of one of the Garden's cozy little secrets. Try the soup of the day- never heard of it? You'll never know if you like it until you give it a try.
