fadó is a jrpg retelling four tales from irish mythology. i mostly played fionn mac cumhaill because he was the twinkiest from the portraits and i had no other information to go off of.

fadó is a bit slow to start so i only got a little taste of what it has to offer. the combat immediately presents with some strategy (fionn can enchant his spear to do more damage + the enchants stack) and i immediately stumbled into an optional encounter that took some thinking to survive which is cool.

aesthetics-wise i think the character and environment art are extremely charming. the combat UI is a bit too form over function & it can be hard to tell hp amounts at a glance. the font character text uses is very difficult to read IMO & the controls are arrow keys to move with no option to change it. the music is delightfully penisy. i would not spend $9 on this but i would try it if you bought the abortion bundle
