hi im caelum i just post micro-reviews of games on this website

Small Town Emo (demo)

this is actually a homebrew gameboy game. a first in all the probably over a hundred games ive played with this method??

insanely charming, i was really caught off guard when my timer went off. you are ken and you have a crush on your neighbor fergus and also its 2007 and you have to get ready to go to a halloween party together. worth playing for sure imo

editor's note - if you were curious. this is game 85

Mighty Milton and the Marvelous Mastermind's Maze

this game OOZES charm and immediately comes out swinging with something i love (metanarrative) but unfortunately the moment i got out of the tutorial i got stuck because i couldn’t find a way to progress in any of the puzzles and none of my devices could read the QR code i found in the game files. i was really disappointed because i wanted to keep going and see what this game had in store for me :/ this seems like what if oneshot was good

Dystopicon

management sim where you are in a dystopian hellscape where you need written permission from the government to leave your studio apartment and get paid for watching religious propaganda. unfortunately i shot a government figure with a sniper rifle at the first possible opportunity and called it a day so im not certain how long the game runs or how difficult it might get. its very fnafcore button juggling gotta click the rats gotta take my nap gotta assemble the rifle gotta read the truth

i think my main criticism is that from the presentation i had expected that there was going to be something actually playing on the tv that is so front and center. there’s essentially no disadvantage to watching the most profitable channels and then go do something else to recharge my boredom. i was never close to going broke at any point. but if the religious or political channels were actually showing something intolerable and on brand for the regime that the player is living through then it would probably be a good and interesting deterrent to minmaxing like that

Haven Park - $8.99

wholesome direct ass game

im usually a huge sucker for this type of game but i felt haven park to be really aimless. like exceptionally so. i spent my time with it picking up resources and occasionally using them sometimes. grandma gave me a park and i need to fix it up for prospective campers to visit. i did have a camper show up and they were like “nice place” and then walked away so whatever i guess. it was fun to wander around but the physics seem really weird esp for a game that gushes about how much its inspired by a short hike (game with REALLY GOOD PHYSICS PLATFORMING). i was bethesdaing up every mountain. idk if id recommend this one
