Still on Twitter (begrudgingly). Also using Mastodon and Bluesky. Tend to post on all three. I do chat on Discord and Telegram (preferably mutuals only)

Lastly, my long-running goofy blog. I like writing about things sometimes and I hope others like reading it. And supporting my Patreon, maybe. (It's probably the closest thing I have to "an income" these days.)

while I may not have used cohost as often as the people I follow, I'm still gonna miss it.

Since this is Cohost's Dawn of the Final Day, I might as well bump this up one last time.

I was honestly gonna write a long form thing about Cohost, but I'm in a bit of pain after going to the Portland Retro Gaming Expo last weekend. If there's anything I learned from this, it's that I need to use social media more as a place to find Cool People who do Cool Things rather than just a place to talk to my friends that isn't a Discord chat.

I may not have posted a whole lot here, but I did appreciate whatever stumbled upon my feed. And I hope that people liked reading my stuff whenever it made the rounds.

see y'all on the other side :eggbug:💜

It's 2024 2013 and Cohost Xenga is shutting down!

Un-Navigatable  is a Solo Tabletop Roleplaying Game about going back and looking at old blog entries and being deeply, deeply embarrassed at your past self either through your past actions or how you used to write your posts.

This game is also a celebration of the freedom experienced in youth when you were unashamed to write and share your deepest feelings on the internet. Your interests at the time might be embarrassing now, but they do not make you a bad person then or now. This is a game about laughing at the folly of youth, not hating yourself for past interests or interactions.

Thank you for everything Cohost!!!!

The song is by Lindrum Larry Cocopipe, however this version is taken from the "Patskin Pack", a playlist/album put together by someone going by Patrick Tregaskin on blogspot. Both LLC and Patskin are sort of rabbit holes, especially LLC, I recommend looking into them some time. This is my favourite track by Cocopipe, along with "Feather" which might not be easily available anymore (but it's out there!).

I feel bad about Cohost shutting down so soon after I found it, towards the beginning of this year. I really liked this place, despite never getting around to doing anything proper with it. I will always cherish my only popular post, at the least.

It's a shame I didn't do more with this account. I was originally going to try and post at least 1 song a day, as an encouragement for myself to listen to more music, but what really wound up happening was that I posted consistently for maybe a month before sort of losing interest, lol. I think it maybe would have gone differently, been more popular, had I made this on a different website, but I liked the idea of doing it on Cohost. Interesting music appeals to interesting people, so maybe some of the interesting people on here would like it. I dunno.

Anyway this is probably the last thing I post on this page, unless I rechost something. Was thinking of mega posting a ton of songs still in my drafts, but I think I will just post this one. Thank you if you took the time to listen to something I shared here, thank you if you liked it, if you didn't, thank you all the same. If you still want music recommendations you can follow My Bandcamp if you want, that's where I find most of the music I like. Way too much good stuff on there.

That's probably it from me. Thank you, again. I hope everyone here finds happiness in whatever lies ahead of us. Goodbye! :)

i may not have been super active here consistently, but it's always been a pleasure hopping on here. the engagement with everyone is always so fun and id love to carry that over to bluesky and tumblr, both of which im on under the same screen name. 💚 cohost was a wonderful experience and i won't forget how much fun we all had here

a quick reminder that mutuals can check my page for my discord as well, and im always glad to hear from y'all, even if i don't reach out— i forget!

id like to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone who enjoyed my talksprite css (and especially to @nekoraita for helping me fix it!), i never thought my first real attempt at css would cause such waves in the posting culture of a whole chunk of the site— it makes me happy seeing how much fun y'all had with it. ive saved a backup of the code, and here's a link for easy viewing while cohost is still up. save it while you can, please! nekoraita's fix is in the comments 💚

TALKSPRITE CSS

anyway, see y'all wherever else.

goodnight, cohost. goodnight, eggbug. 💚
