Our time has come to part ways
I shall hope that we will soon meet again
As this isn't a goodbye
But a Farewell
And a See you next time
Love you Cohost
Slipping out the back a little early, as is my way.
I can be found.
...No, that's not right. This would be a Cool thing to do, but I'm here to be sincere, not cool. If cohost has meant anything to me, that's the only choice.
What can I say? This was my home. I loved it here, and I'm quite picky. cohost shutting down hurts, and it's good that it hurts - it hurts because I let myself believe, and I was able to open up, and I got to know people in a way that I don't think I would have on Twitter or Tumblr, where we're all more guarded. Will this happen again? I hope so, and I think enough people have tasted blood here for that hope to be reasonable. If it does, I'll be there.
...Well, and it still is my home for a little while, so let's do this. I still have some drafts left.
Final day. Post for the future. Here together.
It's October 1 in my local time and Swatch® Internet Time™ now and I'm getting very sleepy, so this will be it for me for real.
In case anyone missed it from the latest staff post:
the find your friends page will be in your data export, although it is admittedly pretty barebones (just an unstyled html file and a data file that you can do whatever with). it includes a list of all pages you followed along with their main URL and any additional information they included in their contact card. we recommend that all users make sure this information is up to date today. if you do not want this information to be in any public archives, make sure you set your contact card links to “logged-in users only”; the exports will include these links but any public archive will not.
I'll collect anyone I've missed once I have my export.
If you've added me on Discord to keep in touch, I would like to say: talk to me! You will probably have to be the one to start conversations at least at first, but that doesn't mean I don't want to talk to you; I'm just bad at it. (Just... have something to talk about and don't just say "Hi".) Send me music.
It was a good final day. Thank you, everyone. Eggbug forever.
