I'll actually truly miss you. I understand why you have to go, but that doesn't mean it doesn't still hurt.

i have deep hope for the future, and i want to try to make everyone understand why. and hopefully, feel the same.
for much of history, shit sucked, and in many ways it still does. but there are patterns and trends that remain true through all the smoke and fog.
people do not actually like violence. so many people want peace.
we have had so many revolutions, marches, strikes. public perception of queer people is getting better. people are more aware of, and condemning bipoc injustice. through strikes we secured 2 day weekends and lunch breaks. it doesn't end here.
lethal company and helldivers 2 are very popular games which clearly highlight the flaws in america & capitalism. ultrakill and castlevania did the same for some awful parts of Christianity. more and more people are beginning to see.
hazbin hotel, an indie animation, was #1 on Amazon video. the amazing digital circus is set to be even bigger, still indie. smiling friends is made largely by people from newgrounds. friday night funkin.
there is a fnaf movie and it did insanely well financially. undertale got played for the pope.
Trump did not win the popular vote in 2016. He did not win in 2020. The only chance of victory he has in 2024 is Republicans disenfranchising voters. Kamala's vp, Tim Walz, is genuinely pro trans.
Things are changing. Things are rough. But things are getting better. You just need to hold on tight while the world goes through growing pains. I genuinely believe that we will make it out of this better than ever before.
things are tough because there's so much change going on. with the added pressure of war, and climate change. algorithms are radicalizing, ai is enforcing that you can't believe anything.
but we know better. we have each other. by using ad blockers, picking sites without algorithms, not letting yourself get swept away. not becoming a capitalist product. even if it all goes to flames, know that things will get better, because people don't like violence. this behavior is taught. it can be unlearned. it can be avoided. we just have to keep spreading trust. keep communicating and being open.
and have faith that things will get better.
