So Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is fucking excellent? Like maybe one of his best adapted stories ever?
After years of false starts I'm finally doing a full run through BTAS. I've seen most of these episodes before, but never watched either "feature length" film they made. Such a brilliant deconstruction of the character that retroactively adds so much to what was already one of the greatest works of American animation.
If you're like me and you've somehow missed this, do yourself a favor and watch it soon (and make sure it's the open matte 4:3 version, not the 16:9 theatrical crop)
