It's just setting in more and more. How special this place was. How fucked up Twitter was/is comparatively. How much of an outlet this was, that none of the other places will ever really be. How many people just got cut off at the knees today.

Today is fucking rancid.

I'm going to miss shitchosting here so much. I'm going to miss having a place to just dump my thoughts, and have a small number of like-minded strangers give it a little thumbs up. Having it do Severals, maybe 20 or so people that liked seeing my shit. It was never a number; it was always names.

Discord isn't the same. Tumblr isn't the same. Bluesky sure as fuck isn't the same.

I'm so glad I got the eggbug plush.

I'm so sorry, y'all. We had it. We had it, and it slipped right through our fingers.

Death to Capitalism.

EDIT: God, even seeing notifications is painful, knowing that they'll soon stop mattering, stop existing, my brain is already treating them like a hole in the world. Fuck.

Okay so, this was gonna be our big announcement today, but in light of other news it's somewhat more bittersweet, so please bear with me while I make this a bit more of a post than I intended to.

To start: we've added a new feature to the Titan Garden mirror site we've been working on for a while. You can now open random blindboxes and build a collection of vinyl figurines based on all of the Titan Garden character entries. Each one has unique art and a link back to their main article, so if you like a character you pull you can jump right to their article and read a little short story about them and their background. There are extra-rare chase variants of a number of characters too, so look out for those! You can pace yourself and open a few a day, or mash the buttons to open them all at once. The choice is yours, but you can get them all here:

We built https://titan.garden earlier this year when the archive of what we'd made on Cohost became to unwieldy to navigate, but also to preserve what we'd put here in case the worst case were to happen. Nothing that was posted here will be lost, you can read it all or share it with friends in the future. I try to put them up every Monday these days, but if you'd like to track prompts for new updates after Cohost goes into read-only mode, you can either hit us up on our Discord: https://discord.com/invite/gRzYx9Ht or follow me on Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/rally.luckyraven.cc, but nothing will quite replace just having the posts themselves pop up in your Cohost feed.

Back when I first joined this website, I wasn't sure what to do with it. I didn't want to just shitpost on yet another blog, and I liked the spirit of what this site was, it felt like it deserved something nicer than what I'd put on Twitter or elsewhere. I'd also had a problem where I'd been so immersed in work all the time that art always felt like work, it could never just be for fun anymore, so what I thought I'd do was use Cohost as a place to put art for fun, to draw little space guys and make a little world on this quiet little website that wasn't there to be marketed, wasn't there to be sold as a new IP, wasn't any kind of Work, it was just a fun thing I could plug away at in between work to learn how to have fun with art again. I appreciate what I found through this website, finding that spark of joy in my art again, and I'm sad to see it go. When we built our off-site mirror, we included a way for users to pick custom color palettes through the Settings menu. Under Settings > [EGG], we recreated the Cohost color palette for our site, originally to pay homage to the place we started Titan Garden, but now as a little way the spirit of this site can live on beyond its lifetime.

Thanks for reading along with our funny little space people.
