The Strange Sun

Art experiments not as much the last few days mainly because tis the season. And some of my experiments require paper clay or wood glue and I am NOT braving the stores until after Christmas. So will be a bit before I make some experiments in that area.

What I do want to share is something that I finished recently that's more in my usual wheel house. That being abstract shapes in various colors collages on canvas board. Canvas board best canvas for me to use when putting on collage elements because more sturdy to glue and press on.

I had also made this kind of piece with a blue element to it before. And I thought the blue a still good idea for such a big canvas. Give the eye places to rest when looking at it.

The shade of blue of the piece in the picture use to be a bit brighter but it was too bright next to all the various bright colors. So lightened the blue and it looks a lot better. Here is the piece.

A friend of mine suggested that this would make a goof fabric and make a nice dress or two piece ensemble and I can see it. I've had some of my art made into fabric before. Making clothes out of them I've never had done though. Something to look into.
