i wanna be a graffiti artist! i wanna make murals n shit all around my city and jump fences just to put beautiful colors in random places. also, the gas mask type fit is such a vibe—u ever see that tracer skin? holy shit.

i think part of the appeal to me is that i want to be a total rebel so bad. in another life i would have spent high school breaking rules and having weird sex. its never too late to start, and one's already on the way so lets do the other!

i think graffiti is such a beautiful form of art—its incredibly democratic and is a counterculture against industrialization, but doesnt hurt anybody and instead makes life just a bit more colorful (unless you are a property value :/). and something's so exciting about how there is no real practicing graffiti, the only way to get experience is to go out into the world and try your best, and all of it will be documented for years right there in the landscape.

admittedly, i don't much like the graffiti i see. its just not my style—which means i get to invent my own style! just like that, and i cant wait to try experimenting w it. i want my art to be soft, pretty, and beautiful. im not quite sure what that will look like, so i want to start practicing and experimenting now!

now im just talking about art in general, but i wanna restart figure drawing and faces practice as my baseline, because that's what i think is the center of my art—humans. then i wanna just experiment wildly with pens and pastels, and eventually dive into paint. hopefully by spring ill be posting art on here and then ill be throwing graffiti on the walls on bridges and old walls. itll be so pretty.

does anyone know where to start? i wanna learn most of my stuff through trial and error, but if ppl have artists (hopefully queer poc but not necessarily) with related work they like, then plz send me some inspo!
