D-616, a maiden-class torture droid who was built to kill, maim, and extract information. After a group of bounty hunters managed to corner a dark jedi with knowledge of an ancient jedi cache, their target ended up crammed inside of D-616's "torture chassis," and was summarily shredded to death, with fragments of their mind placed within a datacache within D-616's memory banks. Only, after regrouping back at their ship, they found the data was missing-- not corrupted, but missing.
Since then, 616 has been experiencing strange 'hallucinations,' and has slowly been discovering new and unusual abilities he was never able to perform before. Even now, he feels a strange pull towards the farthest reaches of the galaxy, as if an ancient presence was calling him to greater purpose.
