I made chashu with a slab of pork belly I found in the freezer last night for ramen today, but I also needed some type of meat ingredient for the soup stock that has a lot of fat so I was like huh wonder if I can just throw half a thing of spam in the pot and it’s worked out really well. But anyway, I’m now making “chashu” with that block of spam for my wife who hates the texture of pork belly but for some reason likes the texture of spam.
