my first big runtime error fuckup
this came from trying to load in my blocks from a data file rather than defining them right in the code.
at this point i've reverted to the previous, working git commit. cuz im not hunting that shit down. i'll just write a more careful file loader instead i guess.
#(I think)
April didn't have a very good photo haul for birds, but it was really rainy and I didn't go on as many walks. The first two birds are the same one photographed a few seconds apart. I'm pretty sure it's the same red tailed hawk that I've photographed before (we nicknamed them Tobias) but I'm not certain. It was dark out and I had to push the exposure a few stops.
Other than that, it's mainly been robins and geese overhead.
Note - as I was typing this post up I looked out the window and was able to get some incredible goldfinch shots, but since it's May and this is a post about April's birds, y'all are gonna have to wait.
relativity
you move through the sky
at unfathomable speeds
barreling through the universe
at hundreds of thousands of
miles per hour
and so do i
and yet
you seem so still in the sky
this super-highspeed movement
utterly infinitesimal
changes apparent with your phases,
minutes passing as you and your sister circle me,
imperceptible to my eye as it happens
these magnificent, huge, glorious things
they happen at utterly different magnitudes between us
we may as well live in different universes
i am to you what an ant is to me
and all of humanity an ant colony
i love you
