not quite US numbers yet but like. people keep asking for nuance and at what point is the response just "what are you trying to sell me"

this most recent time isn't egregious but I see stuff like this constantly and it's like... what news are you reading? even CNN is reporting on the prison camps worse than Abu Ghraib

#my line in the sand is 0 civilian deaths #0 hospitals destroyed with people inside them #0 mass graves with people handcuffed #0 prisons worse than Abu Ghraib #but since we're past that point i will settle for 0 new per day going forward #that's the nuance. Any other nuance can resume once the bombs stop flying and the doorkickers are restrained to quarters #israel-palestine #the US did worse in iraq and we were out there blocking bridges. and most of the adults in every town turned on you #hungry for war. for deaths they would never personally experience in a way that wasn't like stock tickers or sports scores #and that makes both states' chains of command complicit in war crimes and yes even genocide #iraq had 5x the population. it doesn't make things better #but it puts them into perspective.#thats all of palestine btw. not just gaza.#I'm so tired of hearing "both sides". yes both sides should not be doing indiscriminate air strikes but only one of them has planes.#both sides should stop HESHing civilian infrastructure. only one side has tanks.#both sides should stop targeting aid workers with the coordinates they give to not be killed. but only one side has the ability to do that.#it's farcical and absurd at this point to say there's nuance that takes precedence over removing all the fangs medinat israel has outside of it's borders and maybe even then. ISDF #assuming there's much military left after the tribunals
