Damn, I kinda really didn't care for Eponine. Her whole character kinda just revolved around Marius ;;
Which. really sucks

And then after she dies, after the ABC Cafe sing about how her death will not be in vain it feels like she's immediately forgotten about. Her character had such little impact on the story and everyone around her...
Like consider the way Fantine's death set off the entire plot and dictated all of Valjean's decisions for the rest of the story. But then when Eponine dies, Marius and the ABC, the people most impacted by it, they just go on to do exactly what they were going to do anyway but now they feel sad for five minutes

I feel like Eponine just sorta existed to die and maybe that's the point?? Because she's lived a lonely life with Marius as her only companion, and then she fulfilled her narrative role, and then they just sorta killed her bc she's been given no other purpose or agency

I don't know how to put the words together but I think her portrayal really sucks
