Thank goodness that covid means we have high quality masks
#2023 Central Canada wildfires
there was a weird orange haze on my coffee coming through the window so I stopped everything to photograph and then go outside.
Today's very hazy, cloudy and giving us weather app "Air quality Alert" until tomorrow - apparently due to wildfires in Ottawa (which I should point out is over 7 hours from us).
The sun's been mostly blocked out by the smoke and clouds all day except for this ten minute window and I'm glad I caught it.
like don't get me wrong, it's pretty as hell but it smells SO bad outside from all the smoke. Again I must reiterate, we're ~ 400 miles (640ish for you metric folks) away from the wildfires but it's completely covering our whole area. Hearts out to everyone impacted by the actual fires up there, it looks gnarly.

also I probably damaged my camera by taking these but I think it was worth it lmao - please don't make my mistakes and directly photograph the sun unless you absolutely must
