I would like to start drawing more fun things, like this. Long story short, I got some inspiration and then went to look at art of my favorite artists and it was just so inspiring seeing them post things not just for work, but also for holidays and things they did for themselves. It sounds corny, but there was love and fun there in their work and I think that's what I want to aim for in my art, that this is something I love to do and have fun when I do it. Some of it, like the comic, will feel like work but it's because comic pages take work. When I'm done with a page, I look back at it and think "I like this," so it still feels sort of fun.

I still have projects I want to do, but I don't feel as beholden to them right now. I don't have to focus on them entirely, I can take a break and draw a goofy little Scourge or any of my other characters or settings for stories. Or I can go back on fundamentals, I haven't done that in a long while.

Anyway, this is getting long. Please enjoy my take on the scrungly boy. And yeah, I guess I decided on the name Amarulence for the comic, but you can call it Spite or "that weird Scourge comic" if you want. (I promise I'm working on the first issue!)
