This was made quite a long time ago, the idea was to have some sort of shmup/tower defense game, more or less. I ended up dropping the concept altogether because I didn't know how to make it interesting much.
Here you can see the yellow healthbar on the left, the shield bar on the right, and the bomb counter, life counter and scrap counter in the bottom bar.
The health bar is self explanatory, but the shield bar is a bit more subtle; the idea is that when an enemy touches one of the blue lasers, that laser takes 1 damage and gets deactivated (while the enemy takes high damage in return), and the green light next to it turns red. This indicates that the laser has only 1 HP left. To turn it back on you need to shoot enough enemies to fill up the blue shield bar.
Bombs then would be set by clicking on the screen while keeping, say, the space bar held, which would display a grid you could click onto; with various bombs having various ranges and effect.
Scrap would be what you get from the enemies when you shoot them down, and is what you'd used to build new turrets.
Speaking of turrets, I had the idea of several different types. The one displayed above is the basic green shooter one, with basic straight projectiles, but there was to be other types, like flamethrowers, railguns and bubble shooters.
There are several things I'm not a fan of about this, but it was my first true foray into trying my hand at game design, so I'm still glad I did it ^^
