I’m taking commissions! I’m changing jobs (substitute teaching) and the certification process has been arduous and expensive. Even though I’ve finally got all of the paperwork together I might not hear back about it for another two months. Looking for another job to keep me afloat until then but haven’t had much success. Help me pay rent and bills and so on by buying some art from me!

assorted kenah characters, part 4 of ? - resistance edition. which is to say, a bunch of youths in the leaner parts of the city, looking to make a change, each with their own ideas of how it should be done. there's more characters in the Resistance, but i don't have art for them.

1. asbel: they/them, vaien. basically the furry/anthro species. vaiens all have an animal form, to and from which they can shapeshift at will. asbel grew up on the streets of drakavel, in the back alleys that the old dragons of the spire would rather not talk about. makes good speeches and is determined to change something, but what or how is a bit of a tougher question.
2. foxfire: he/him, vaien. reads people's fortunes for a living and does a bit of show magic on the side. he's joined asbel's little group, but no one really knows anything about him: where he's from, how he lives, why he's here, even his real name. but he's a master of illusion and willing to do what he's asked, so he stays, at least until asbel can crack him.
3. myran: he/him, wevlin. child of the current leader of the guard, myran has grown up incredibly sheltered and cared for, compared to the rest of the group. but he's made friends with some of them and wants to help. as their connection to the upper echelons of society, he's able to bring information from the inside.
4. setralia: she/her, wevlin. a cutthroat mugger who would sooner kill and take than try to negotiate. that said, she's surprisingly protective of the younger members of the group, and at least trying not to kneejerk at everything she takes issue with.

Took a slow morning to sketch out in the sun for a bit. I haven't drawn Sophie & Anna in a minute because I was too busy working on their game, but I've been wanting to draw them having a sweet moment :>

sketching characters interacting is hard, and hands are hard, but I really like the looks they're giving each other ✨ sketching in the sun is so nice though, so it's been my go-to when I need a break from screens... summer, please stay...
