I got the Lords of Shadow games in the steam sale and am playing the first one

Funnily enough isn't really in the metroidvania space at all, more of a Devil May Cry knockoff than anything(hence me, the Devil May Cry Man, being into it), and while it's not as good as any of the real greats of that genre it has some cool mechanics and occationally hits a swing. There's a good foundation here that falls a bit short.

But the main thing sticking out to me is FIXED CAMERA ANGLES RULE. GOD. Sure transitioning from screens is occationally fiddly but the framing of a good fixed camera angle shot is so good. Soulstice also understands this and is why that game rules.
