earlier I saw this youtube reply under a comment about how sam levinston's writing sucks, surprised to see this show everyone shills as a masterpiece (season 1 at least) was actually not even that original
i was curious about the israeli version, so I looked it up and the only place to watch it was a drive folder in the comments of a reddit post and manually add english subtitles (also the video is in 360p). feels like I'm doing internet archeology when I watch incredibly obscure media like this.
Just finished episode 2 and it's pretty good tbh. It's not quite as extreme as HBO's version, as in it feels a bit more realistic but it still deals with pretty explicit subjects. and the opening line goes so incredibly hard.

When you were seven, people jumped from the Twin Towers on live television. And it was repulsive, and exciting, and logical. Parents have drowned their kids. Kids stabbed their parents. So, at the age of seven you got hooked on the news. And then you’re fed up with that. Because what could possibly shock you when you are eight?

is anyone playing takt op. symphony? came out a few days ago, it's a gacha rpg where the girls are classical music scores (we've got jupiter from the planets suite, we've got wagner's die walkure, we've got pomp and circumstance) and the in-game music is shockingly good. several very high quality animated splash pieces for each unit too.

combat is very compelling, it's a turn-based position matters system that kind of gives me darkest dungeon vibes. I've been having a ton of fun experimenting with builds and doing some light theorycrafting, and would love to have more people to talk about the game with.

caveat: the UI is sort of miserable; it looks very pretty but can be hard to use or very unintuitive, and a lot of the touch targets are way too small. combat UI is perfectly useable but many of the menus exemplify "form over function" to me
