#Cohost Global Feed

You know, I honestly don't understand Cohosts vehement stance against ANY user metrics.

Not caring about likes, I can understand since it's not like there's any function to them outside of the initial notification, but I'd certainly appreciate being able to look back on who reshared certain posts and if anything new was added to it. It'd be nice to know what people are saying about work I do, you know? This site is clearly trying to ape tumblr, and you know how often comments are left in the tags of reblogs there? A hell of a lot! Even if we could only see the reshares from people who actually left tags or added new content onto the original post in a tab like with the comments tab.

Or just putting a total at the top of the Following/Followers pages? That way you can't see anybody else's follower counts so you're not envious of the numbers of another person?

I'm thinking of maybe making a web extension for cohost that looks for a link to a css file in a user's sidebar info! and automatically loads it on pages where that sidebar is visible, which would (for users of the extension) let you edit whole-page styling for your profile page (and anywhere else where the sidebar is visible e.g. comment pages for your posts) rather than just the subset that cohost allows inside your posts

Is this even a good idea? I've mostly lurked here but I've always loved what people do with their itch.io game pages and bringing something similar to here would be nice

! cohost doesn't strip empty links from profile sidebars so you can hide a link that's invisible to the user there
