CLOSE ENOUGH. if they can hammer in an accelerometer backwards that was keyed to only go in one way, I can get the date wrong by one.

I made these little vampire bat charms last year? two years ago? I don't know anymore. But it was when I was still getting my bearings in Procreate and also in making merch. Since then, I've unified and cleaned up my over all brand and the concept behind the kind of works I want to sell.

While the bat charm design on the right is still not a bad image, it's also very....normal. It looks like it could be sold a nature shop. And that's ok!!!! But not the demo I'm going for. I want to make art of critters most malign but I find delightful. So last week I redrew and re-rendered the bat to better fit my over all vibe now. I think this is also gonna read better at three inches, haha!

Anyway, here's your occasional reminder that it's not a waste of time to revisit works you still enjoyed the concept off but not the final execution! You can always go back! (though know when to cut your losses too. this is a delicate dance haha).

I'm going to remake my other two designs (a possum and fruit bat) and get these all made in to stickers and charms!
