On the other it definitely reinforces the feeling of posting into the void. But this is both a weakness (“do people like this???”) and a strength (“who cares what the people like!!!”) I need to post more Dumb Thoughts beyond my Saturday commissions, though.

I still peek at likes now and then if I have what I feel is a real banger. Pro-tip: don’t do this. You never get the traction you think you deserve (and that’s normal and okay).

love when the youtube algorithm goes 'oh you seem to be into retrogaming? here's a video of someone sharing their latest retrogaming haul' and it's some channel with like 200 subs and they post a haul video every month and get like 50 views on them

i'm not being sarcastic here or anything, it's good to see people who just post videos without really caring if they get views or an audience.
