Going to college in a big city has really made me appreciate the color of my hometown. Zagreb can be so grey sometimes. Even the bright red billboard ad I'm looking at as I'm writing this feels dead and saturated, devoid of any real personality or life. It's no wonder sub-groups form with their own little corners throughout the city. We, as people, have a need for life and color, and since the beauty of nature can't offer it in big cities, we create our own colorful spaces. We adapt and become the creators of our own happiness.
