Hello Ruby, welcome to Adventure, this is an adventure game where you go on an adventure, the world is your oyster, you can use commands like “west” to go a direction, or “look” to look at things around you, or get a description of the area you’re currently in, anyway, you wake up, hungover, in a tavern
look
you look around, the tavern is in quite a sorry state, there’s a lady screaming at you but you can’t quite make out what she’s saying yet
listen
the lady is screaming “wake the fuck up and get out, you ruined my bar
leave
you leave the tavern, outside a road leads into a forest to the north
north
you’re in the forest, paths lead to the east and west
east
you head east, but run into a giant snake blocking your path
snake
what do you want to do with the snake?
kiss
I don’t know that command, what do you want to do with the snake?
kiss
What?
kiss
…
kiss
FINE, YOU KISS THE SNAKE, YOU AND THE SNAKE GET MARRIED, THE END
Does anyone know of any historical works or scholarly research done on Hasmonean-era Judea's neighbours? I don't know how reliable Sefer Maccabim is as a source, and I'm interested in placing the story of Hanukkah and the Hasmonean dynasty (Shlomtzion's conquests included) into a wider geographical context.
