Is nothing sacred in this wretched world?

today was an example of how the best laid plans all fall to pieces. I tagged along to playalinda beach at 6 in the morning to get one last use out of my car pass before it expired, we walked a mile down the beach to the fence line only for the park rangers to turn everyone around and walk em right back.

my counterpart rightfully assumed he'd have a better view from the visitors complex, as it had been delayed an hour by the time we got cell signal and had walked back. we parted ways, had him drop me downtown because I could just catch the bus back easy.

the bus broke down, so I had to catch a different bus and walk 2 miles. fortunately, it delayed a second time so I didn't have to turn right back around and leave as soon as i got home.

I procrastinated, ate a meal, then threw this camera in my saddlebag and got downtown with like 5 minutes to go.

I've just been chilling at the space museum downtown since, poking at this picture in Snapseed. the boat was a stroke of luck, crossed the frame right in time.
